My husband Dan and I celebrated the start of summer last night with dinner on Lake Waconia, about an hour west of the Twin Cities. We were part of a group, so we had the private dining room at Nancy’s Landing.
Dinner was excellent. For just $45 a couple, we had appetizers (calamari, a Mediterranean sampler platter, and quesadillas); a choice of three entrees (salmon, pork, or chicken); dessert (pie or a sundae); and several bottles of wine.
Mmmm.
I especially enjoyed the wine. In fact, I enjoyed it immensely over the course of two and a half hours, and when the sun finally set over the lake and we all stood to watch it, I almost slipped beneath the horizon, too.
I’m kidding! I was fine!
And the sunset on the lake really was lovely.

I’ve seen you after a bit of wine. Corrine + wine = giddy fun.
Sounds like you had a nice time. Darn it. That was the night I had toast for supper.
