Obligatory Photos: First Day of School

Here are my two oldest girls, Kate and Emily, on their way to school today. Katie, on the left, is 18; she’s a senior. Emily is 14, and starting her freshman year.

Apparently, the ginormous purses are taking the place of backpacks now.
