What do you want?

Tarot for Writers

Tarot for Writers

I’m putting together a website to accompany my “Tarot for Writers” book. What do you think I should include? What would you want to see on the site?

Right now I’m planning to include a brief excerpt from the book, the table of contents, and a schedule of classes, workshops, and events. I’ll include an “about” page, too, with my bio. That’s all fairly standard …  but I just keep thinking it looks kind of lifeless at this point.

What do you think I should add? What do you like about other “book” websites?

Please leave your suggestions in the comments!

  1. How about a discussion forum so that people can talk about the content of the book with you, and ask questions, and support each other in using the principles of the book? Google Groups works well for this.

Love the cover, can’t wait to see the book!

  2. Hi Corrine,

I can’t wait to get my hands on this book! Congratulations!

I ran out and bought Tarot Journaling after stumbling upon tarotjournaling.com. The sample prompts (or maybe it was a sample chapter?) hooked me. You might take a similar approach with Tarot for Writers. Maybe include a sample chapter–or, as Nancy suggests, some sample prompts.

  3. Hi Corrine,

It looks like a fantastic book! It sounds like you’ve got some good suggestions already. I especially like the idea of other writers piping in on a forum to say how they are using the Tarot themselves.

  4. What about a nicenet online classroom site to accompany the book or is that too structured? The online part works so well & is great for people in isolated places like myself who need contact with other like-minded souls.

Extension work on the site for, more experienced writers/readers would also be beneficial.

Hope to get hold of the book soon.
